Soooooooo....Today marks my 1 year anniversary of when I was discharged from the NICU! Can you believe that it's been a whole year since I came home??
Exactly a year ago, I came home weighing 9lbs 10ozs and measuring 20 inches long. I had a gastrostomy feeding tube and I was very jaundiced. I could hold my head up pretty well but that's pretty much all I could do. I could barely roll over and needed mommy to help me get around.
Today, I weigh about 22lbs and am 30 inches tall! I have close to 10 teeth and I'm driking milk and eating solids like a champ! I also dislike it when mommy and daddy try to hold my hand because I'm ready to walk on my own! Freeeeeeeedommmm!
To celebrate my one year discharge anniversary, Lolo Joe and Lola Tes took me, mommy & daddy out to eat at our favorite place...Summit House! Since I don't have my molars, I couldn't eat the yummy meat but once they come in...it's ON! Just you wait Mr. Prime Rib! ^_^
I just wanted to thank everyone for always supporting me and staying strong for mommy and daddy during those hard times. I am glad that we are blessed with great family and friends. I also wanna thank all my NICU nurses, doctors and staff for taking care of me. I am super healthy today because I am surrounded by the bestest people in the world!
