Thank you Dr. Gholizadeh!

Today was my second follow-up appointment to go and see my pediatric surgeon. My g-tube had been removed for almost 2.5 months. My g-tube site has closed up nicely and it looks like I have a second bellybutton!

I went in to see Dr. Gholizadeh who always seemed happy to see me. She is one of my favorites too...she is the one who helped solve my tummy problem! That's why I'm able to eat, drink and poop without any problems today!

She looked at my tummy and quickly told mommy that I don't have to come and see her anymore. My hole had healed nicely and she saw that I was gaining weight. Although I was happy that everything turned out okay, I was sad to hear that I wouldn't see her anymore.

"No need to see me anymore, Jordan. That's a good thing."

Before I met Dr. Gholizadeh, I was having issues with the simplest things that people take for granted: eating, drinking, stooling. My intestines weren't functioning. It was dilated, things were backed up, nothing was passing through. But with one magic procedure, everything was okay. Just like that. Aren't these doctors amazing, to be able to perform such major surgeries on us tiny babies? What would we do without them? Seriously.

I will keep in touch with Dr. Gholizadeh for sure though. So she can see how much I've grown and how well I'm doing.

And someday, when I'm old enough, I will be able to thank her...for saving my life.
